Larry Yellon Wins Robert Marcus Award

Larry Yellon has been awarded the Robert Marcus Award for Professional and Distinguished Service by the New York State Professional Process Servers Association (NYSPPSA) for 2015 at the October NYSPPSA Convention.

Larry is the current President of NYSPPSA as well as the past-president of the National Association of Professional Process Servers.

In the face of the DCA’s costly and time-consuming compliance requirements for process servers, Larry has worked relentlessly on the behalf of all process servers in the state to make these requirements both more affordable and more reasonable in terms of time-commitment and the ability to still run a business while following DCA rules and requirements.

Through Larry’s efforts as President of NYSPPSA:

  • Process servers who were in danger of having their licenses expire were granted an extension in February 2014
  • Process servers no longer need to maintain a log book for services performed outside of New York City
  • Process servers who failed the DCA exam are now allowed to view missed questions

All of us at DGR would like to congratulate Larry on this well-deserved award!
